Ferguson Litigation Funding (FLF) today announces that it is to be the exclusive LITIGATION FUNDING sponsor of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’s (ICAEW) Insolvency & Restructuring Group for the next three years.

The tie up of FLF, the specialist litigation funders, and the ICAEW will see a commitment by both to providing a voice for the insolvency and restructuring community across a range of dedicated events.

The ICAEW Insolvency & Restructuring Group is led by a committee of volunteers representing ICAEW licence holders and seeks to develop the next generation of insolvency professionals. The specialist group will host a series of upcoming events including the New Insolvency Practitioner event on the 14th March, as well as the Insolvency & Restructuring Group Annual Conference on 27th June. Ferguson Litigation Funding will be event sponsors.

Commenting on the exclusive sponsorship, FLF Managing Director Maurice Power said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the specialist group over the next three years, we see the ICAEW as a recognised thought- leader in the insolvency and restructuring space. Ferguson Litigation Funding’s tie-up with the ICAEW further establishes a platform of trust and confidence which has expedited our successful entry to the market.

We believe the tie up will provide a platform to further educate the ICAEW’s membership to the benefits of litigation funding, the value it can add to creditors and of current developments in the market”

Bob Pinder, Quality Assurance Director of the ICAEW said of FLF’s sponsorship: “We are delighted that the team at FLF will be supporting ICAEW’s Insolvency and Restructuring Group for the next three years. ICAEW is the largest insolvency licensing body in the UK and it’s important that we ensure that our licence holders are aware of important developments in this key sector”

FLF was launched as the exemption for insolvency litigation from the changes brought about by the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO), was withdrawn. FLF specialises in working with leading law firms and insolvency practitioners and has specific expertise and experience in the sector.
